Throwing a cutter with Mariano Rivera

Published on November 15, 2012,

How To Throw Cutter To throw a cutter or cut fastball, you will throw a fastball but get a slight amount of side spin that makes the ball move in or out a few inches. You do this by moving your fastball grip (usually the 4-seam fastball grip) slightly off-center. Some pitchers bring the thumb slightly up the inside of the ball and the index and middle fingers slightly toward the outside. This gives you a pitch somewhere between a fastball and a slider and, thrown properly, that’s how the pitch will move, like a very tight slider. For young

How to take a lead from 3rd base.

Published on November 14, 2012,

This is one of those tips that sometimes have a bearing on the outcome of a game. If you watch enough baseball, you will begin to discover that the team that does “all the little fundamental things correctly” will usually be victorious in those one run games. In this picture, “Full Armor’s” Alex Chang from Lower Merion, PA, takes his lead at third base, watching and making sure that the pitcher throws home before he takes his secondary lead. When taking a lead from third base, make sure you know where the ball is at all times. Usually a good

Full Armor secret to pitching! Happy Veterans day

Published on November 12, 2012,

First of all, happy Veterans day to everyone and to all our vets who have served in the military, which has made it possible for us to enjoy our freedom and the game we love.  Thank you!   The lack of functional strength and flexibility reduces velocity!   You need to start players early because the sooner you teach the brain the proper patterns of movement, the sooner the body learns how to move correctly and explosively.    Wow, can’t tell u how much this is an accident waiting to happen. Well we all deal with this at some time, but remember, it’s all about attitude and using our God given gifts to the best of our ability. Ted Williams

Published on November 6, 2012,

Take a couple of minutes and check out arguably the best hitter of all times.  As i tell our players, no matter what you do, are u getting the sweet spot to the ball.  Perfect example is Ted Williams, he would crowd the plate and would even pull his lead foot off the ball, but because he knew that hitting was a science, he realized that the path to the ball was of extreme importance.  Click on utube link below.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNfB8d3KzVw
